Engineering Support

Model Die & Molds engineering design team brings decades of combined experience in 3D tool design, process engineering, and mold manufacturing.  We leverage state-of-the-art Siemens UG NX Mach 3 Mold CAD/CAM design software to design tools that meet your exact specifications while optimizing the mold for manufacturability, cycle time, and tool life.

Our engineering capabilities span the complete product development cycle—from initial concept and feasibility studies through detailed design and production manufacturing support. We work collaboratively with your team to understand your specific requirements and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.

Mold Design

Our team of experienced designers create detailed Parametric 3D mold design assemblies utilizing Siemens UG NX Mach 3 Mold (Mold Wizard) engineering software. Every detail and 3D mold component is included in the assembly including associative 3D solid models, BOM’s, 2D part print details, electrodes, engraving and more…


Feasibility and Part Design

We perform feasibility analysis for every project to assure proper moldability of parts. Our design engineers are highly experience in molding feasibility and routinely call out and fix part design issues before any design work start. We can perform part design modifications of your part data, or provide complete 3D part design modeling with 2D print services if needed.

Design Review and Documentation

We have an extensive design review system with collaborative customer design reviews with our customers along with internal design reviews with our manufacturing teams to validate design quality and manufacturability before any component is sent to manufacturing.


Manufacturing Support

A large responsibility of our engineering team is to facilitate the controlled release of all design documentation, 3D CAD models, BOM’s, EDM Electrodes, 2D part details and other technical support items to our manufacturing team. We continually support the manufacturing team from initial design through the build process and final tool delivery.
